The prices below are temporary, and will increase in the future. Any ad space purchased now, will be locked in at the price below, for the term contracted. By sponsors, of course, we mean advertisers. The World Wide Web can expose your business to more customers than any other medium on a dollar for dollar basis. The trouble with this is that most of the people who would see your ad, would probably not become a customer of yours. A businessman in Tokyo, has little interest in buying a mouse trap from your local hardware store. What is needed is a way to make the World Wide Web the Local Wide Web. This is where we come in. We target people who are in southern California, or who are planning to be here.

An advantage to advertising on the "Web", is that demographically speaking, you will reach people who have money to spend. Most people who browse the Web have credit cards, higher than average incomes, and a high percentage of them are family people. It is much more targeted than newspapers, radio, random bulk mail and television.

People have asked why we don't use more graphics on our web pages. There are several reasons for this. People come here for information. Loading the page with graphics slows their access to the information they seek. If things are too slow, they may think that it is a dazzling site, but they are less likely to return. We feel that there should be some graphics, but we prefer to leave the pages plain and let the advertisements dress up the page, this way, more attention is paid to the ad. Visited attraction pages are often printed as handouts or for future reference, becoming a flyer for your business. As web surfers increasingly move to faster connections, we will increase the use of graphics, but not excessively.

Advertising at L.A. Things To Do

      1. Your business or service should  relate to our visitors interests.
      2. You advertisement may not have erotic or violent content, nor be deemed offensive to some (in our opinion). This is also true for any links.

We offer several advertising strategies. When you advertise on the World Wide Web, you can potentially reach over 50 million readers. Most of those will have no interest in what you are offering. We offer you a cost effective way to reach those who are interested in your service, because they came here looking for things to do in the L.A. Area. If, for example, you have a small restaurant with a 'kids menu' across the street from a park which we feature here, you might want you ad to appear on the page for that park so those planning a visit to that park would know that they could conveniently dine at your establishment. Similarly, if you are an art dealer, you might want your ad to appear on the various art museum pages. This is targeted advertising, and we believe that it benefits you and our readers the most. It should be noted, however, that this reduces the total exposure when compared with one of our main pages.

Our Web Site Consists of various indexes, which in turn bring people forward to specific pages of information they are interested in, called attraction pages. We also have a sponsor page for those who want a generic listing.

Our rates are determined by:

      1. The plan you choose
      2. The location of the advertisement in our web site
      3. The length of time your ad runs
      4. Type and size (visually as well as file size)
      5. Additional setup/design charges may apply
      6. Price breaks given for donating merchandise/services for our prize giveaway program. Participating in this program helps draw people to this sight in general, and to your ad in particular. Our "Winners Page" displays the most recent winners AND the advertiser who donated it. In this way, you get a break in our ad rates AND extra exposure.

    For the graphic above we would have charged a design fee of  $10, based on time it took to create. $10 is the minimum charged for a custom graphic. If the customer wants it a certain way, it could take quite some time to get it "right", and therefore could run into considerable expense. Our recomendation: Let our designers do their jobs, with only minimal input from you, or, supply your own graphic.
