Description     poppyicon.jpg (1372 bytes)    The California Poppy is the State Flower. They are bright orange beauties (Click Here for pics) State law forbids picking them, but it costs nothing to see them, and seeds are available to grow your own from many roadside vendors. Driving around the area you will see old farm equipment and delapidated barns, really rustic.Nearby Palmdale and Lancaster have all of the ammenities.
