See Local Map The library contains such famous pieces as a Gutenberg Bible, The Ellesmere Chaucer and Ben Franklins autobiography. The Gallery contains paintings, tapestries, miniatures and period furniture. The most famous piece is the Blue Boy by Gainsborough. There are 12 separate gardens that cover 150 acres. There is a Japanese and Jungle garden.

No picnicking is allowed on the grounds. There is a restaurant and Rose Garden Tea Room (818) 683-8181 on site.

Library & Gardens are open Tues. - Friday 1 p.m. to 4:30 Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 4:30 p.m. GARDEN TOURS depart at 1 p.m. ONLY - Self-guided tours brochures are available.
