children will be reminded of the secret garden with it's stone paths and lush greenery.
There are many variety's of plants and cactus. Another short trip would be to the Murphy
Sculpture Garden. It has 60 sculptures. Many are nudes. There is a free shuttle you can
take. Also on campus is the Fowler Museum of Cultural History. The Special Olympics Summer Games are held on Campus in June. (310) 215-8380 Spectators can cheer the Mentally Challenged Athletes on. No admission charge. |
| The Botanical Gardens are open Mon.-Fri., 8am-5pm; Sat.-Sun., 8am-4pm. The Fowler Museum is open Wed.-Sun., noon-5pm; Thursday until 8pm. Both are usually closed on University holidays. | |
| Free admission to the gardens. The Fowler Museum is $5 for adults; $3 for seniors; free for ages under 17. The museum is free every Thursday. Parking in U.C.L.A. is $5 a day. |
