Harbor Freeway 110 to the end. Go left on to Gaffey Take Gaffey to 22nd Street
(it's at the bottom of the hill) Turn Left at the light and go to Pacific Ave. where you
turn right. You'll pass the "base" on the left side and at the end of the base
you turn left at 36th which becomes Stephen M. White Drive Every Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. They offer a drop in program in the Marine Lab for FREE Activities vary, but usually they have an art activity, microscopes out, puppet theater, marine puzzles out and the kids choose activity. |

| Go To Local Map | A wonderful sandy beach protected by the harbor is great for the little ones (no waves) Older children might like the waves on the other side of the breakwater. Lots of grass area too for a picnic. Nice playground equipment. Beach showers and restrooms. Boat ramp at the other end of the beach. There is a rock jetty to climb on. A small fishing pier nearby. The aquarium specializes in the marine life of Southern California. They have numerous displays and aquariums. |
